- Trainee Supervisor
Qualifications/Abilities
- Minimum qualifications – 8 CSEC passes with grades 1 or 2, or its equivalent
- Insurance Certifications (motor and property certification is an asset)
- Minimum of 6 years in insurance related field
- Sound knowledge of Financial Services regulations, current industry trends and procedure
- Excellent written and spoken English. A knowledge of French Creole is an asset
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be computer literate
- Excellent negotiating and leadership skills
- Analytical ability
- Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
- Enthusiastic attitude, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, professional demeanor, takes initiative, creative and innovative.
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license considered an asset
Principal Responsibilities
- Accept insurance business on behalf of the company, based on the insurer’s underwriting guidelines
- Process, issue and dispatch all insurance documentation
- Provide efficient and reliable customer service and to contribute positively to the reputation and profitability of the company
- Undertake special projects as required

2. Underwriting Assistant
Qualifications/Abilities
- Minimum qualifications – 8 CSEC passes with grades 1 or 2, or its equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets
- Minimum of 1 year in insurance related working field considered an asset
- Must be computer literate
- Meticulous and analytical
- Work independently and for long periods seated
Principal Responsibilities
- Process Renewals
- Assist in transferring data into database systems and
- Amend data in and retrieve data from database or physical files as needed
- Filing and related underwriting tasks
3. Data Entry Clerk – Temporary
Qualifications/Abilities
- Minimum qualifications – 8 CSEC passes with grades 1 or 2, or its equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets
- Basic understanding of databases
- Minimum of 1 year in insurance related working field considered an asset
- Must be computer literate
- Attention to detail and basic understanding of databases
Principal Responsibilities
- Transfer of data from paper formats into database systems
- Update existing data and verify information by comparing to source documents
- Retrieve data from database or physical files as requested
- Organize paperwork/source documents after data is entered to ensure it is not lost
- Assist in Filing
Soufriere Office
Trainee Underwriter
Qualifications/Abilities
- Minimum qualifications – 8 CSEC passes with grades 1 or 2, or its equivalent
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum of 1 year in insurance related working field considered an asset
- Must be computer literate
- Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
- Enthusiastic attitude, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, professional demeanor, self-motivated, creative, and innovative.
- Exposure to the Insurance industry would be an asset
Principal Responsibilities
- Accept insurance business on behalf of the company, based on the insurer’s underwriting guidelines

Remuneration
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
